These are miscellaneous photos, that I took about 2 years ago, of some old "paper" photos that we have in boxes & drawers around the house. I had to use a camera to take pictures of the old photos, because I do not have a scanner. So the photos I took are not necessarily of a high quality. But they are better than nothing
These photos are not necessarily in any kind of order or time-line. If they happen to be, it is only by accident or Providence.
Shannon, I don't know the dates of some of the photos (dates may be on the backs of some of the originals, but I don't have time to find them right now).
Sorry about that.
But, before we get started on the ancient photos, here are some I actually took today on your Birthday, Shannon:
010. December 4, 2016, Sunday, 9:59 a.m. EST;
looking S (South) from the sun room at 960 Calvert Rd., Rising Sun, MD; our garden with tree-limb stakes for tying up the tomato plants; only live things left in it now, beside some dandelions, etc., are about 20 kale plants & some sage.
013. December 4, Sunday, 2016, 2:01 p.m. EST;
looking N (North); Seth on kitchen porch at 960 Calvert Rd, Rising Sun, MD; he's about to leave for Newark, DE, to sing in choir at University of Delaware Christmas Concert.
048. Your Daddy & Mommy & their VW; in the US Air Force days at Goldsboro, N.C., maybe, or Utah? 1970 or '71? I visited them while on leave from RAF Mildenhall, England. So if this is in Goldsboro, N.C., then I probably took this photo when I visited them briefly at the end of my leave, when I rode the bus back up to Philadelphia International Airport to catch a flight back to Mildenhall.
049. Close-up of 048.
055. (If this is in Goldsboro, N.C., then this was probably taken by me on the same day as 048 above.) Your Daddy & Mommy; in the US Air Force days at Goldsboro, NC maybe, or Utah? 1970 or '71? Your Mommy is on the left, I would guess; that's your Daddy, of course, on sofa.
054. Close-up of 055.
063. Your Mommy, at Matanzas Beach (or Matanzas Inlet), Fla., circa 1965 thru summer of '67; photo taken by me. My GHS classmate, Bill Hetrick ("Surfing Bill Hetrick," as I call him), took your Uncle Wil, Aunt Judy, your mother & me there one summer day, and attempted to teach us how to surf. On that day, Uncle Wil was probably the only one in our family ever to actually stand up on a surf board for more than a fraction of a second.
068. Surfing Bill Hetrick on left; Uncle Wil on right; taken by me at Matanzas on the same occasion as photo 063 above. Bill is probably demonstrating to Wil how 2 people 2ransport 2 surf boards 2gether.
Ok, Shannon, that's all for now; I want to go ahead & publish this new page for you, before it gets any later.
Coming up next, I have a photo of Grandaddy Tillman & Sean; then a couple with you in them (one at Micanopy, & the other one in Wilmington, DE, I believe.

New photos below:
089. Grandaddy Tillman and Sean in Micanopy; possibly Christmas Day of 1989 or 90. After we moved from Micanopy to Wilmington in late July, 1988, the first time we travelled back to Micanopy, was Christmas time, 1989 or 1990, I think. I do know that it was the Christmas of the "Big Ice Storm" in Micanopy, when all the tree limbs were coated with ice & the highways were shut down for a while till the ice melted off of them. I might have taken this shot.
095. L-R (left to right): Uncle Danny, Grandaddy Tillman, Uncle Wil, Grandmommy Tillman, Aunt Patty (holding a squash?), you, and, of course, Sean, in the yard at the Grandparents' house in Micanopy; possibly during the week of Christmas 1989 or 90, like photo 089. However, it doesn't look like we are dressed for an ice storm! So, I don't know... Maybe this was taken on one of our later trips down to Micanopy in the later 1990s. And ... I wonder who took this pic ...
103. At one of the DuPont Historical sites in Wilmington, Delaware. L-R: Uncle Wil, Aunt Patty, Grandmomy Tillman, Tommy Stevens Tillman, Micah, Joanna, Seth, your Mommy, Ezra, Uncle Danny, and Yourself. Yay! We actually have a date on the original photo print, which is August 2001. So this was most likely pretty close to correct, if the film was developed soon after it was taken. But...I wonder who took this picture!
104. Same day & location as 103. Grandmomy with her grandchildren: (L-R) Ezra, Micah, You, Joanna, Seth, and Tommy.
Ok, Shannon; that's all for now. Hope you had a fun birthday yesterday!
